What is a Firmware Fix and How Does it Work

Our firmware fix is new modified firmware that is downloaded into your printer with your computer. It is loaded one time and lasts for the life of the printer. It works with all computer operating systems...including Apple/Mac and Linux.

Our fix allows the toner page counter to reset to zero every time the printer is turned off. It completely eliminates the need to replace the chip on the toner cartridge so you can refill your cartridges at very low cost. It also allows you to use aftermarket cartridges if you prefer to do that.

There are no parts to replace and no soldering is required. You only download the modified firmware into your printer and place tape over the chip on your toner cartridge...that's all!

The firmware installation program was written for Windows. We recommend that you use a computer capable of running Windows programs to install the new firmware in the printer.  Once the new firmware has been installed in the printer, you can use the printer with any computer operating system...including Apple/Mac and Linux.

*Your printer's firmware cannot be modified in any way from it's original state. The printer must have original Samsung firmware with no other firmware fixes or firmware chips installed.

*The success rate is 100% when installed in a properly working printer with original Samsung firmware according to our explicit instructions and with our excellent technical support if required.

Ordering a Firmware Fix

In order to determine your printer's compatibility and to create the fix for your printer, please include all the information we ask for on the firmware page when you order.

The information may be included in the "Message to seller" box of your PayPal payment or sent to us in a separate email to support@tonerkits.com.

You must be able to print the machine reports to provide some of the information we require. Click on your printer model on the firmware page to see instructions on how to print the machine reports.

When we receive your order and the required information, we'll send you an email with a link to download the firmware fix and instructions to install it.
